Are you ready to make a difference in your community? We’re on the lookout for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our dedicated team in Towcester, Northamptonshire.

Key Details

Location: Towcester, Northamptonshire
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £28,000 to £29,800 per annum (based on experience and qualifications)

Your Role

As a vital member of our highways maintenance team, you will help deliver essential carriageway, footway, and drainage works that keep our communities connected and safe. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Operating light plant equipment such as compressors, rollers, disc cutters, and vibrating plates, while ensuring their daily upkeep.
  • Assisting skilled team members with kerbing, drainage, paving, bricklaying, and surfacing works.
  • Excavating materials using hand and powered tools safely and efficiently.
  • Performing general site duties including sweeping, cleaning, litter picking, and handling materials and equipment.
  • Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive working environment for all team members.
