Key Details
Location: Shrewsbury, Craven Arms, or Oswestry - Shropshire
Contract: Fixed-term zero-hour contract until April 2027 - Flexible days/nights/weekends based on call-out and weather conditions
Salary: £18.50 per hour - Weekly pay
Your Responsibilities
As a Winter Maintenance Driver, you’ll play a crucial role in our Maintenance team. Your primary focus will be on:
- Driving a gritter vehicle during unsociable hours
- Fitting a snow plough in adverse weather conditions
- Maintaining accurate driver and vehicle records
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You can be fully flexible to meet rota needs, including unsociable hours (you must not be covering more than 11 hours in another role)
- You hold a current HGV Class 2 licence
- You have CPC accreditation and are willing to undertake training related to the role
