This role involves covering unsociable hours on a rota basis, including weekends, to ensure our roads remain safe and accessible during the winter months.

Key Details
Location: Glastonbury, Somerset
Contract: Fixed term zero hour contract until April 2027 - Flexible days/nights/weekends - Call out & weather dependent
Salary: £18.04 per hour (Monday to Saturday) and £23.52 per hour (Sunday and Bank Holidays) PLUS a weekly standby of £238.99
Your Responsibilities
As a Winter Maintenance Driver, you will play a crucial role in our Maintenance team. Your primary duties will include:
- Driving a gritter vehicle during unsociable hours
- Fitting a snow plough in adverse weather conditions
- Maintaining accurate driver and vehicle records
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Hold a current LGV class 2 licence as a minimum
- Have CPC accreditation and are willing to undertake training related to the role
