About the Role

This is not just any role; as an Engineering Manager, you will be at the forefront of our engineering activities, providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your leadership will guide our teams through the planning, design, execution, and delivery of exciting civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal position, you will:

  • Lead civil engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring technical excellence.
  • Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.
  • Manage the delivery of contractor and temporary works design, reviewing and approving designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Mentor and develop project engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of growth.
  • Identify technical risks and develop effective mitigation strategies for successful project delivery.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and are a Chartered Engineer (MICE, MIStructE or equivalent).
  • Have relevant experience in civil engineering, including leadership roles, with a track record of managing large-scale or complex infrastructure projects.
  • Possess strong knowledge of civil design standards and construction methods, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Can balance technical excellence with business objectives, collaborating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Hold a CSCS Card and are committed to delivering projects safely and ethically.
