Location: Penrith – onsite 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent Full-time, 45 hours per week
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 per year + £4,750 annual car allowance + benefits

Your Role
As a Site Engineer, you will provide essential technical support on-site, coordinating and monitoring construction activities while ensuring compliance with project requirements. You’ll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time and to the highest standards. Plus, you’ll be a champion of Kier's values, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence for our clients, customers, and communities.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Manage and control your section of the works in line with agreed programmes, quality standards, and health and safety obligations.
- Maintain positive working relationships with the Client and key stakeholders.
- Ensure safe working practices are always upheld on site.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and business partners to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Promote continuous improvement across all activities and share best practices.
What We’re Looking For
This Site Engineer role is perfect for you if you:
- Hold a degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or have gained relevant on-site experience.
- Possess a valid CSCS card and have a strong understanding of health, safety, and quality standards in a construction environment.
- Are confident using surveying and engineering technology, including CAD, Civil 3D, Total Stations, and GPS equipment.
- Enjoy working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, building positive relationships through clear communication.
- Bring a proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure and construction projects.
