Location & Hours

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours a week)

Your Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing commercial resources to maximize our planned gross margin. You’ll be working from the site or office for 3+ days a week, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects for our key strategic clients. Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin and support budgeted profitability.
  • Tendering, evaluating, and appointing subcontractors, along with placing orders for materials and plant.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating variations to contracts with customers and suppliers.
  • Measuring and valuing work to support invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers.
  • Producing monthly VCRs and End Life Forecasts, while managing cash flows.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You possess diverse and clear communication skills, with experience working alongside multidisciplinary teams, clients, and supply chains.
  • You hold relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable) and have experience in a similar role.
  • You have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • You’re flexible, able to work as part of a team, and can use your initiative.
  • You are proficient in a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke software.
