About the Project
Join us in an exciting venture as we embark on the third phase of a significant expansion at one of the UK's premier science, engineering, and technology parks. The £61m North East Technology Park (NETPark) will create up to 232,000 square feet of flexible laboratory, office, production, and storage space. As our Senior Project Surveyor, you’ll collaborate with the commercial lead, managing a large supply chain and ensuring outstanding commercial outcomes from start to finish.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Surveyor, you will be an integral part of our commercial team, focusing on:
- Managing applications for payment from sub-contractors and preparing client applications.
- Negotiating with the supply chain to achieve the best value and awarding work packages.
- Monitoring actual expenditure against budgets through Cost Value Reconciliation Reports.
- Ensuring all variations are properly costed and logged in line with contract conditions.
- Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You have experience in commercial construction projects with a strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
- You’ve successfully delivered high-value projects ranging from £20M to £100M within a Main Contracting organization.
- You hold a relevant degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- You’re confident in dealing with client representatives, sub-contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- You possess a Full driving licence.
