We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Structures team on the A417 Missing Link at Air Balloon project in beautiful Gloucestershire. This is an incredible opportunity to make a significant impact on a high-profile highways project while contributing to our commercial function.
Location
A417 Missing Link at Air Balloon, Gloucestershire – Enjoy the flexibility of some remote working alongside office travel.
Hours
Permanent Full-time – 45 hours per week, with some flexibility available. Just let us know your preferences when we chat!
Salary
Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £70,000 per year, plus:
- Private healthcare
- £5,900 annual car allowance

Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be at the forefront of managing costs and maximizing value while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Your daily tasks will include:
- Managing commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin through effective contract and subcontract control.
- Overseeing change control with subcontractors in line with NEC4 procedures.
- Minimizing the risk of disallowed costs from the client.
- Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks while implementing Kier's risk management policies.
- Maximizing cash flow through the control, measurement, and valuation of work, including invoicing and supplier payments.
- Valuing work executed by subcontractors and certifying interim and final payments.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for someone who has:
- Experience in a similar role within the highways sector.
- A relevant qualification, such as a degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Confidence in using MS Office, particularly Excel, and other IT systems.
- Excellent organization and time management skills, with the flexibility to travel when required.
