Your Mission

At Kier Transportation, we’re committed to ensuring the smooth movement of people, goods, and equipment. As a Winter Maintenance Driver, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping the UK moving during the colder months. Are you ready to be a highways hero?

Location & Contract Details

• Location: Glastonbury, Somerset
• Contract: Fixed term zero-hour contract until April 2027
• Hours: Flexible days, nights, and weekends on a rota basis, including call-outs and weather-dependent shifts

Compensation

Enjoy competitive pay with:

• £18.04 per hour from Monday to Saturday
• £23.52 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays
• Plus a weekly standby payment of £238.99

Your Responsibilities

As a Winter Maintenance Driver, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Driving a gritter vehicle during unsociable hours
• Fitting a snow plough in adverse weather conditions
• Maintaining accurate driver and vehicle records

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

• Hold a current LGV Class 2 licence as a minimum
• Have CPC accreditation and are willing to undertake additional training
• Are open to learning and possess transferable skills
