Are you ready to make a difference this winter? We’re on the lookout for dedicated Winter Maintenance Drivers to join our dynamic Transportation team in beautiful Shropshire. If you can cover unsociable hours on a rota basis, including weekends, we want to hear from you!

Location:

Shrewsbury, Craven Arms, or Oswestry - Shropshire

Contract:

Fixed-term zero-hour contract until April 2027 - Flexible days, nights, and weekends based on call-out and weather conditions.

Salary:

£18.50 per hour - Weekly pay

Your Responsibilities:

As a Winter Maintenance Driver, you’ll play a crucial role in our Maintenance team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving a gritter vehicle during unsociable hours
  • Fitting a snow plough in adverse weather conditions
  • Maintaining relevant driver and vehicle records

What We’re Looking For:

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You can be fully flexible to meet rota needs, including unsociable hours (you must not be covering more than 11 hours in another role)
  • You hold a current HGV Class 2 licence as a minimum
  • You have CPC accreditation and are willing to undertake training associated with the role
