As a Winter Maintenance Driver, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and accessibility of our roads during the colder months. Your journey is our journey, and together, we can keep the UK moving!
Location & Contract Details
- Location: Glastonbury, Somerset
- Contract: Fixed term zero hour contract until April 2027
- Hours: Flexible days, nights, and weekends - call out & weather dependent
- Salary: £18.04 per hour (Monday to Saturday) and £23.52 per hour (Sunday and Bank Holidays) PLUS a weekly standby of £238.99
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Drive a gritter vehicle during unsociable hours
- Fit a snow plough during adverse weather conditions
- Maintain relevant driver and vehicle records
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Hold a current LGV Class 2 licence as a minimum
- Have CPC accreditation and are willing to undertake training related to the role
- Are open to learning and have transferrable skills – even if you don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply!
