Location: Essex with project location near Ipswich, Suffolk

Your Impact

As a Senior Design Manager, you will play a crucial role in steering project success from tender to delivery, leveraging our Design and Build capabilities.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and deliver design information in line with agreed programmes and schedules.
  • Ensure appointed design consultants meet their obligations and adhere to standards and briefs.
  • Assess, mitigate, and manage design-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Chair design meetings, write reports, and deliver engaging presentations to stakeholders.
  • Ensure design compliance with health and safety legislation, sustainable building standards, and industry codes of practice.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Hold a relevant qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture, with proven experience in a design role within a main contractor environment.
  • Have experience with BIM Level 2 projects and a deep understanding of the design process at both commercial and construction stages.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of the RIBA plan of work and current building regulations.
  • Can create detailed presentations and feel confident presenting to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Hold a Full driving licence.
