Role Overview

Position: Senior / Supervising Social Worker
Hours: 28 hours per week, flexible on days
Salary: Up to £39,392.73 per annum FTE, based on experience
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract
Location: Central West Midlands - covering Birmingham, Tamworth, Wolverhampton, Walsall, and Shrewsbury

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Senior / Supervising Social Worker to join our friendly and dynamic team. In this role, you will:

  • Recruit, train, assess, support, and supervise a diverse range of Foster Parents, ensuring high-quality placements for looked-after children.

About You

  • You are an enthusiastic and committed self-starter, able to work independently while staying connected with team members and Foster Parents.
  • Excellent assessment skills and strong communication abilities (both written and verbal) are essential, along with good IT skills for high-quality report writing.
  • You must be a qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration. Recent experience in fostering and children’s services is desirable, but we welcome less experienced candidates as well.
  • A solid understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and safeguarding is crucial.
  • We are looking for innovative applicants who share our creative vision, whether you’re new to fostering or an experienced Supervising Social Worker.
