Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE)

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Flexible Working Options: Choose between 40 hours over 5 days or 32 hours over 4 days

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager ready to step into a full Nursery Manager role. You’ll take full leadership responsibility for a nursery, backed by a strong regional team and central support.

Your Role Responsibilities

  • Step into full Nursery Manager responsibility for a well-supported setting
  • Lead and develop a high-performing early years team
  • Ensure high standards of care, education, safeguarding, and compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement in practice and outcomes for children
  • Take ownership of staffing, performance, and day-to-day operations
  • Build strong relationships with families and your local community
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to support quality and occupancy goals

Are You the Right Fit?

We’re looking for a Deputy Manager ready for progression who can demonstrate:

  • Strong, proven performance in a Deputy Nursery Manager role (preferably supernumerary)
  • Confidence in leading rooms, staff, or key areas of a setting
  • Solid understanding of EYFS and Ofsted expectations
  • Experience supporting inspections or quality improvement work
  • The ability to lead teams, influence practice, and manage responsibility
  • A clear ambition to step into full nursery leadership

Qualifications and Experience

  • NNEB, BTEC Nat Dip, CACHE Dip in Childcare, or NVQ Level 3
  • Experience as a Nursery Manager or Assistant Nursery Manager
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • A focus on delivering high-quality childcare and early education
  • Montessori qualification desirable but not essential
