Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Senior Engineer to join our dynamic Kier Design team based in Norwich. As part of Kier’s impressive 750-strong internal consultancy, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering Civil & Structural Infrastructure Engineering services that make a real difference.

This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to complex projects, providing innovative solutions that are not only safe and buildable but also align with our clients' goals. Our Structures & Geotechnical capability is expanding, and you’ll be working with esteemed clients such as Local Authorities, National Highways, Network Rail, and major water sector clients including Anglian Water, Southern Water, and Thames Water.

Location & Working Hours

Location: Norwich - Enjoy the flexibility of remote working with occasional office visits.

Hours: 40 hours per week - We offer flexibility, so just let us know your preferences when we chat!

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the design of permanent and temporary works for structures, highways, geotechnics, and infrastructure.
  • Provide tender and bid support, including outline design schemes and feasibility studies focused on buildability and efficiency.
  • Offer design management advice and coordination, acting as Lead Designer on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Conduct technical assessments and reviews of third-party designs, ensuring compliance with client and Kier requirements.
  • Fulfill job leader responsibilities, including agreeing on technical requirements, developing fee proposals, and managing project finances.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You are an Incorporated member (IEng) of a relevant professional institution or EngTech with substantial experience in civil and structural engineering.
  • You are focused, disciplined, and thorough in your work, always striving to deliver for clients.
  • You hold a full driving license.
