About the Role
As a Senior Engineer within our Professional Services Team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic and technical leadership to our highways clients. You’ll work on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), guiding technology schemes from initial concept through to preliminary design. This is your opportunity to blend hands-on engineering with leadership responsibilities while being part of a respected organization.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead highways technology schemes from concept to preliminary design, including ITS solutions.
- Produce high-quality technical outputs such as designs, specifications, drawings, BoQs, reports, and risk registers.
- Provide expert advice and technical governance to clients and stakeholders.
- Support feasibility studies, options appraisals, and business case development.
- Mentor and manage junior team members, offering coaching and support.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Hold a degree in an engineering or science-related discipline and are Chartered or working towards chartership.
- Have strong experience in delivering ITS consultancy, design, or project management.
- Are comfortable managing workloads, programmes, and stakeholder relationships.
- Possess knowledge of ITS, highways technology assets, IoT, telecoms, and IP systems.
- Have excellent communication skills with a practical, commercial mindset.
