Role Overview
Position: Senior / Supervising Social Worker
Hours: 28 hours per week, flexible on days
Salary: Up to £39,392.73 per annum FTE, depending on experience
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract
Location: Central West Midlands - covering Birmingham, Tamworth, Wolverhampton, Walsall, and Shrewsbury
What You’ll Do
As a Senior / Supervising Social Worker, you will:
- Recruit, train, assess, support, and supervise a diverse range of Foster Parents.
- Ensure high-quality placements for looked-after children.
- Collaborate closely with a variety of agencies and professionals to enhance service delivery.

About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed self-starter who can work independently while staying connected with team members and Foster Parents. You should possess:
- Excellent assessment skills and strong communication abilities (both written and verbal).
- Good IT skills and the capability to produce high-quality reports.
- A qualification in Social Work and current Social Work England registration.
- Recent experience in fostering and children's services is desirable, but we welcome less experienced candidates as well.
- A solid understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and safeguarding.
