Role Overview

Position: Senior / Supervising Social Worker

Hours: 28 hours per week, flexible on days

Salary: Up to £39,392.73 per annum FTE, depending on experience

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract

Location: Central West Midlands - covering Birmingham, Tamworth, Wolverhampton, Walsall, and Shrewsbury

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior / Supervising Social Worker, you will:

• Recruit, train, assess, support, and supervise a diverse range of Foster Parents
• Ensure high-quality placements for looked-after children
• Collaborate closely with a variety of agencies and professionals

What We’re Looking For

We seek an enthusiastic and committed self-starter who can work independently while staying connected with team members and Foster Parents. The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
• Possess excellent assessment and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Have a good working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in fostering and safeguarding
• Bring a creative vision and a drive to innovate, whether you’re new to fostering or an experienced Supervising Social Worker
