Role Overview

Position: Senior / Supervising Social Worker

Hours: 28 hours per week, flexible on days

Salary: Up to £39,392.73 per annum FTE, depending on experience

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract

Location: Central West Midlands - covering Birmingham, Tamworth, Wolverhampton, Walsall, and Shrewsbury

What You’ll Do

As a Senior / Supervising Social Worker, you will:

• Recruit, train, assess, support, and supervise a diverse range of Foster Parents.
• Ensure high-quality placements for looked-after children.
• Collaborate closely with a dynamic team and various agencies to enhance service delivery.

What We’re Looking For

We seek an enthusiastic and committed self-starter who can:

• Work independently while maintaining strong connections with team members and Foster Parents.
• Demonstrate excellent assessment skills and strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Produce high-quality reports with good IT skills.

You should be a qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration. While recent experience in fostering and children’s services is desirable, we welcome applications from less experienced candidates who are eager to learn. A solid understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and safeguarding is essential.
