Located in the heart of Tamworth, our new school accommodates up to 78 pupils aged 5 to 18. As part of the Polaris Community, we have been transforming the lives of young people for over 30 years. Your Role

As a Part-Time School Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining our school's cleanliness and hygiene. Your responsibilities will include:

• Vacuuming and mopping floors
• Emptying and cleaning bins
• Cleaning toilets and bathroom spaces
• Replenishing bathroom supplies
• Dusting, polishing, and straightening furniture and cupboard tops
• Tidying communal areas and ensuring hazards are removed
• Wiping down paintwork, including skirting boards and window ledges

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Previous professional cleaning experience in a large commercial building, preferably in a school, college, or university
• The ability to lift and move heavy equipment
• A flexible approach to work and a willingness to undertake various cleaning tasks
• Experience using a wide range of cleaning equipment and products
• Strong communication skills

As part of our commitment to safeguarding, the successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by Polaris.

Working Conditions

This is a Part-Time, Term Time Only position, offering 17.5 hours per week. The salary is £21,257.48 FTE (£9,920.16 actual).
