Position Details
- Location: 59 High Street, Kelvedon, CO5 9AE
- Role: Room Leader
- Hours: Full Time - 40 Hours Per Week
- Salary: £29,244
As a Room Leader, you will work closely with other rooms to ensure smooth transitions and create a nurturing environment for all children. Our nursery operates from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and we require flexibility in your shift patterns.

Your Responsibilities
As a Room Leader, you will:
- Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development
- Support the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development of children
- Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and child learning journals
- Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role
- Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments
- Maintain accurate records on the EyMan system
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor
- Comply with the statutory framework for the EYFS
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Essential: Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification
- Essential: Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years
- Desirable: Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position
- Desirable: Knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating
- Essential: Understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and regulatory requirements
- Essential: Fluency in written and spoken English
