Location & Hours
- Address: 45 Mill Road, Myland, Colchester, CO4 5LE
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Salary: £29,245 per annum
Located in the historic city of Colchester, our nursery is easily accessible via excellent public transport links and just a short distance from the town center. Our doors are open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and your role will involve working within these hours on a patterned basis. Your Role as Room Leader
As a Room Leader, you will:
- Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
- Support the holistic development of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs.
- Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and child learning journals.
- Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role.
- Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments for children.
- Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
- Understand and comply with the statutory framework for the EYFS.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Essential: Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification.
- Essential: Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years.
- Desirable: Over 6 months of experience in a senior position.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating.
- Essential: Understanding of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements.
- Essential: Fluency in written and spoken English.
