Are you ready to make a difference? We’re on the lookout for a Mains Laying Site Manager to join our dynamic Yorkshire Water team in Leeds.

Location: Leeds
Hours: 45 hours per week (some flexibility available—just let us know when you chat with us!)

Your Impact

This is an exciting opportunity to lead essential water mains projects across Yorkshire. As our Site Manager, you will be at the forefront of coordinating daily operations, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be the key point of contact on-site, fostering strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and local communities while ensuring compliance with Yorkshire Water specifications and regulatory requirements.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Manage all on-site tasks for water mains installation, replacement, and repair schemes, ensuring health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate direct labor, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver works in line with Yorkshire Water specifications and program requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with SHEQ requirements, including RAMS, permits, confined space controls, NRSWA, and traffic management.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, inspections, permits, and as-built information.
  • Lead site briefings, toolbox talks, and inductions, promoting a strong safety culture across the team.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Have proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Supervisor on water mains, utilities, or civils projects.
  • Hold SMSTS, CSCS (Black or equivalent), and First Aid at Work qualifications.
  • Possess strong knowledge of mains laying methodologies, deep excavations, reinstatement standards, and temporary works.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hold a full driving license and are flexible to work across Yorkshire.
