Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We’re on the lookout for a Hydraulic Modelling Lead to join our dynamic Water Engineering team. This role offers flexibility with UK travel, allowing you to make a significant impact while enjoying a work-life balance.

Location & Hours

Location: Flexible with UK travel
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired. Just let us know when you speak to us!

Your Role

As our Hydraulic Modelling Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and growing our team while delivering design excellence across clean and wastewater projects. You’ll collaborate closely with our construction teams and water company clients throughout the UK, leveraging your technical expertise and leadership to drive innovation and quality in hydraulic modelling.

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting position, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of hydraulic modelling activities, ensuring design excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Shape and implement a hydraulic modelling growth plan in coordination with the Head of Water.
  • Provide technical leadership and participate in bid teams to deliver value to our clients.
  • Liaise with water companies and internal construction teams to ensure technical excellence.
  • Identify innovation opportunities and coordinate with in-house design capability leaders for effective resourcing.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You have significant experience in the regulated water sector and a solid network of relationships within water client and design organizations.
  • You bring extensive expertise in using modelling packages to tackle design and optioneering challenges in both clean and wastewater projects.
  • You’re Chartered (CEng) with a relevant professional body and hold a degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • You have a passion for growing high-performing teams and experience in a design and build environment.
  • You possess excellent communication skills with a collaborative, customer-focused approach and an open leadership style.
