Role Overview

Position: Senior / Supervising Social Worker

Hours: 28 hours per week, flexible on days

Basic Salary: Up to £39,392.73 per annum FTE, dependent upon experience

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract

Covering Area: Central West Midlands - Birmingham, Tamworth, Wolverhampton, Walsall, and Shrewsbury

Your Role

As a Senior / Supervising Social Worker, you will:

  • Recruit, train, assess, support, and supervise a diverse range of Foster Parents
  • Ensure high-quality placements for looked-after children

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed self-starter who can work independently while staying connected with team members and Foster Parents. You should possess:

  • Excellent assessment skills and strong communication abilities (both written and verbal)
  • Good IT skills and the ability to produce high-quality reports
  • A qualification in Social Work and current Social Work England registration
  • Recent experience in fostering and children's services (desirable, but less experienced candidates are welcome)
  • A solid understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in fostering and safeguarding
