Welcome to Busy Bees Leicester Oadby! Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, our purpose-built nursery has been a nurturing environment since 2000. With a capacity for 52 children, our single-level facility features three spacious rooms designed for play and learning. Plus, we offer free parking for our staff!

🔑 Role Responsibilities

As our Nursery Manager, you will:

  • Take full responsibility for a well-supported nursery setting.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing early years team.
  • Ensure exceptional standards of care, education, safeguarding, and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in practice and outcomes for children.
  • Oversee staffing, performance, and day-to-day operations.
  • Build strong relationships with families and the local community.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to meet quality and occupancy goals.

📋 Required Qualifications

We’re looking for a passionate Deputy Manager ready for progression who can demonstrate:

  • Strong performance in a Deputy Nursery Manager role, preferably supernumerary.
  • Confidence in leading rooms, staff, or key areas of a setting.
  • A solid understanding of EYFS and Ofsted expectations.
  • Experience supporting inspections or quality improvement initiatives.
  • The ability to lead teams, influence practice, and manage responsibilities.
  • A clear ambition to step into full nursery leadership.

You may already be acting up into manager responsibilities or leading significant areas of your current setting.

🎓 Qualifications and Experience

  • NNEB, BTEC Nat Dip, CACHE Dip in Childcare, or NVQ Level 3.
  • Experience as a Nursery Manager or Assistant Nursery Manager.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A focus on delivering high-quality childcare and early education.
