Are you ready to make a difference in a vibrant school environment? We are looking for a dedicated Cleaner to join our Facilities Management team at Heathcote School. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive team where your efforts truly matter!

About the Role

As a Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school. Working closely with your cleaning supervisor, you will help create a welcoming space for both students and staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning and maintaining all areas, including classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal spaces to a high standard.
  • Vacuuming carpeted areas and wet mopping hard floors to ensure spotless surfaces.
  • Emptying bins, replenishing consumables like hand soap and towels, and managing waste disposal correctly.
  • Following COSHH guidelines and health and safety procedures, using appropriate PPE and colour-coded equipment.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns promptly to your supervisor.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You have previous cleaning experience, ideally in a school, office, or commercial environment.
  • You understand health and safety practices, including COSHH regulations and the safe use of cleaning equipment.
  • You’re comfortable following cleaning schedules and maintaining attention to detail.

Working Conditions

Location: Heathcote School
Hours: 12.5 hours per week (morning or afternoon shifts available)
