Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of engineering? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Site Engineer to join our dynamic East West Rail (EWR) team in the beautiful town of Twyford, Buckinghamshire.
Location & Hours
Location: Twyford, Buckinghamshire
Hours: 45 hours per week - with some flexibility available to suit your needs!

Your Responsibilities
As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring technical compliance and engineering excellence throughout our trial trenching and geotechnical investigations. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
- Assist the Section Engineer in managing engineering resources to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
- Set out all aspects of the works while maintaining accurate as-built records and photographic documentation.
- Oversee in-situ soil and rock testing, including SPT, Hand Shear Vane, CBR, and BRE 365 soakaway tests.
- Conduct utilities clearance and ensure the safe identification and exposure of underground utilities through trial trenching.
- Manage quality assurance records, inspection requests, and foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
- You hold or are working towards a relevant Construction Degree/HNC and possess a valid CSCS card.
- You have a full driving license and are skilled in setting out using various equipment.
- You have experience with CAD software and Ground Investigation Works.
- You are committed to maintaining safe working practices and implementing quality management systems.
- You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy building effective relationships across teams, clients, and stakeholders.
