Are you ready to make a difference in your community? We’re on the lookout for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our dedicated team in Shropshire. This is your chance to play a vital role in keeping our local highways safe and connected!

Location & Hours

You'll be working in one of the following locations:

  • Longden Road, SY3 9EL
  • Craven Arms, SY7 8NR
  • Oswestry, SY11 4AH

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £27,976 – £31,000 per year + benefits

Your Responsibilities

As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you will:

  • Carry out routine maintenance activities on local highways.
  • Be part of our winter maintenance and emergency callout service.
  • Operate various plant and equipment to perform your duties effectively.
  • Utilize the CONFIRM application to accurately record site works and upload photographic evidence.
  • Collaborate with team members and subcontractors to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Have experience in highways maintenance.
  • Hold a 12d Lantra Traffic Management training certification.
  • Possess an LGV driving licence.
  • Exhibit strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Are trustworthy, self-motivated, and have excellent customer service skills.
