Your New Role

Join us at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden as a Facilities Maintenance Assistant Lead and become a vital part of our high-profile studio's upkeep and presentation. You’ll support the Lead FMA in delivering essential maintenance across offices, sound stages, workshops, and external areas, ensuring every space is safe, functional, and visually appealing.

In this hands-on role, you’ll coordinate contractors, oversee daily workflows, and help develop a multi-skilled team. You’ll maintain high standards, monitor performance, and ensure safe working practices in a dynamic environment. This is your chance to contribute to strategic planning, assist with vendor management, and help keep our complex site running smoothly.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in developing a long-term maintenance strategy aligned with WBSL Facilities objectives.
  • Champion innovation and stay updated on evolving industry practices.
  • Report progress and updates through various media, promptly diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Maintain accurate records, including sign-off sheets and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Train the team on all equipment and safety protocols.
  • React to emergencies with a focus on implementing effective solutions.
  • Provide guidance to contractors working within the studio.
  • Be the point of contact out of hours for any queries or issues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Supervisory experience in the construction or facilities industry.
  • Multi-trade experience.
  • Strong understanding of COSHH.
  • Must hold a full UK driving license.

Desirable Qualifications

  • City & Guilds Construction Qualifications.
  • Building Construction Qualifications.
  • Practical Training/Apprenticeship.
  • Proficiency in Decorating and/or relevant qualifications.
  • Groundworks/Drainage experience.
  • CSCS Card.
  • IPAF/Forklift certification.

Working Pattern

This role requires a commitment to a 40-hour week on a rota shift pattern, including evenings and weekends in line with studio operations. You may also need to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours.

Onsite Working: This position is onsite, meaning all working hours will be conducted at the studio. WBD reserves the right to adjust this working agreement as necessary for business needs.
