Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re excited to invite a passionate Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Places – Building Solutions South team, based in the vibrant locations of Salisbury, Basingstoke, or Southampton.

Salisbury / Basingstoke / Southampton

Hours:

40 hours a week

Your Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a secured environments project with a key client. You’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality construction projects valued between £5m - £15m. Collaborating with our experienced team, you’ll ensure commercial success and foster strong client relationships. We’re looking for someone who is collaborative, proactive, and eager to grow in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will:

• Manage project finances to maximize gross margin and support budgeted profitability.
• Tender, evaluate, and appoint subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Measure, value, and agree on work to support invoicing and payments.
• Identify and negotiate contract variations with clients and the supply chain.
• Produce monthly commercial reports and accurate cost forecasts.

What We’re Looking For:

This role is perfect for you if:

• You have experience in a similar quantity surveying role within construction.
• You hold a relevant qualification (degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable).
• You possess strong communication skills and enjoy building relationships with diverse teams.
• You are organized, detail-focused, and able to work collaboratively towards shared goals.
• You’re comfortable using IT packages, including Microsoft Office, and are eager to continue your professional development.
