Join Our Team as a Reinstatement Operative!

Are you ready to make a difference? We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Reinstatement Operative to join our dynamic South West Water team in either Paignton or Exeter.

Job Details

Location: Paignton or Exeter
Hours: 45 hours per week, with shifts covering Monday to Sunday. Enjoy opportunities for overtime and participation in an on-call rota.

Your Role

As a Reinstatement Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, supporting the South West Water contract. Your mission? To reinstate highways and surfaces after excavation works for water mains repairs, new connections, and other essential utilities projects. You’ll ensure that all work meets safety and quality standards while collaborating with a fantastic team.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Carry out high-quality reinstatement works, including tarmac, concrete, and modular paving.
• Ensure compliance with HAUC and local authority specifications.
• Operate plant and machinery safely, such as rollers and compactors.
• Complete job documentation using tablet-based systems.
• Maintain site safety and traffic management compliance while working closely with excavation and repair teams.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

• You hold a full driving licence.
• You have previous experience in highway or utilities reinstatement.
• You possess a CSCS card, EUSR Water Hygiene, or NRSWA certification (training can be provided).
