Are you ready to make a difference this winter? We’re on the lookout for dedicated Winter Maintenance Drivers to join our dynamic Transportation team in beautiful Shropshire. If you’re passionate about keeping the UK moving, even in the coldest months, we want to hear from you!
Location: Shrewsbury, Craven Arms, or Oswestry - Shropshire
Contract: Fixed-term zero-hour contract until April 2027 - Flexible days, nights, and weekends based on weather conditions
Salary: £18.50 per hour - Weekly pay
Your Mission
As a Winter Maintenance Driver, you’ll play a crucial role in our Maintenance team, ensuring safe and accessible roads during winter. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Driving a gritting vehicle during unsociable hours
- Fitting a snow plough when adverse weather strikes
- Maintaining accurate driver and vehicle records
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
- Can be fully flexible to meet rota needs, including unsociable hours (no more than 11 hours in another role)
- Hold a current HGV Class 2 licence
- Have CPC accreditation and are eager to undertake relevant training
