We are excited to invite a dedicated Registered Manager to lead our brand new 4-bed home in Doncaster.

About the Role

As the Registered Manager, you will hold the key responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring that we deliver a high-quality level of care. Your leadership will help promote the rights of young people and support their transitions into adulthood.

Main Responsibilities

• Service and Practice: Develop and deliver high-quality care in line with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
• Record Keeping: Maintain appropriate records for both young people and staff, implementing monitoring and evaluation systems.
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of care workers, ensuring good outcomes for young people in their physical, psychological, emotional, and social development.
• Meetings: Prepare for and chair various internal and external meetings.
• On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in on-call duties and cover sleep-in shifts as needed.
• Decision Making: Oversee admissions and discharges, making informed decisions to innovate and lead change.

Human Resource Management

• Involve in the recruitment and induction of new employees.
• Ensure staff are supervised and appraised according to organizational policy.
• Oversee continuous professional development and mandatory training for the team.
• Manage grievances, complaints, and disciplinary matters as needed.

Management of Resources

• Monitor the service budget and ensure financial targets are met.
• Ensure the maintenance of the service premises and equipment meets all requirements.

External Affairs

• Promote the organization positively with external agencies and the public.
• Liaise with commissioners regarding admissions.
• Lead psychotherapy leadership and management forums.

What We’re Looking For

• Enthusiasm for providing the highest quality care and education.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
• A relevant Diploma Level 5 or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards it.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, permanent position requiring 39 hours per week, including sleep-in duties as per the home’s rota. Some office days will be necessary for administrative tasks.

• Performance Bonuses: £3,000 for an Outstanding Ofsted Report and a full occupancy bonus of £600 a month.
