Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Lune Gorge project team. This is your chance to be part of a high-profile infrastructure project, contributing to the commercial success of a major civil engineering scheme!

Location

Nationwide – This is a site-based role in Tebay, Cumbria, with some remote working options available.

Hours

Permanent, Full-time – 45 hours per week. We’re open to discussing flexible hours to suit your needs.

Salary

Enjoy a competitive salary ranging from £40,000 – £45,000 per year, plus a £5,000 annual car allowance and additional benefits.

Your Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be at the forefront of managing costs and maximizing value. Collaborating closely with our commercial and operational teams, you’ll ensure strong financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the commercial management of contracts and work packages to achieve project objectives and target margins.
  • Preparing and submitting valuations, applications, claims, and commercial reports in line with contractual requirements.
  • Monitoring costs, forecasting financial performance, and providing accurate commercial insights to the project team.
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities, helping to resolve issues and protect project outcomes.
  • Managing measurements, valuations, and cash flow to maintain effective commercial control throughout delivery.

What We’re Looking For

This role could be a perfect fit for you if you:

  • Hold a construction-related degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Have a full driving license and are comfortable working in a site-based environment.
  • Bring experience from a commercial role within construction, infrastructure, or transportation projects.
  • Are confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to analyze and manage commercial information.
  • Enjoy building strong working relationships and communicating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
