Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Kier Places – Building Solutions South team, based in the vibrant locations of Salisbury, Basingstoke, or Southampton.

Location: Salisbury / Basingstoke / Southampton

Hours: 40 hours a week

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our Building Solutions South team, where you’ll work on a secured environments project with a key client. You’ll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality construction projects valued between £5m - £15m. Collaborating with our experienced team, you’ll ensure commercial success and foster strong client relationships. We’re looking for someone who is collaborative, proactive, and eager to grow in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Your Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be at the heart of our Building Solutions South team, driving exceptional commercial outcomes on key projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing project finances to maximize gross margin and support budgeted profitability.
  • Tendering, evaluating, and appointing subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Measuring, valuing, and agreeing on work to support invoicing and payments.
  • Identifying and negotiating contract variations with clients and the supply chain.
  • Producing monthly commercial reports and accurate cost forecasts.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You have experience in a similar quantity surveying role within construction.
  • You hold a relevant qualification (degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable).
  • You possess strong communication skills and enjoy building relationships with diverse teams.
  • You’re organized, detail-focused, and able to work collaboratively towards shared goals.
  • You’re comfortable using IT packages, including Microsoft Office, and are eager to continue your professional development.
