Location & Flexibility

Locations: Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Plymouth – Enjoy agile working with the option to work from home 1-2 days a week!

Hours: 40 hours per week – Flexible hours available to suit your lifestyle.

Salary: Starting from £40k per annum.

Sector: Engage with all sectors of the built environment.

  • Practically-minded: With a solid grounding in civil, structural, and/or geotechnical engineering principles and knowledge of applicable design standards?
  • On the path to Chartered Engineer: Working towards CEng or IEng status, or have equivalent experience?

Your Responsibilities

As a Temporary Works Design Engineer, you will contribute to a wide range of complex construction engineering services, including:

  • Producing, checking, and reviewing design outputs such as calculations, sketches, drawings, 3D models, reports, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with CDM, SHE procedures, and QA processes.
  • Acting as Project Lead for simpler projects, managing technical scope, programme, budget, and relationships with preconstruction and construction teams from bid through to delivery.
  • Developing your skills and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and systems, helping the business adapt to current and future challenges.
