Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re excited to invite a passionate Quantity Surveyor to join our Building Solutions South team based in Sheffield. This is your chance to be part of a dynamic team that delivers high-quality projects for key strategic clients!

Location & Hours

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours a week)

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing commercial resources to support budgeted profitability.
  • Tendering, evaluating, and appointing subcontractors, along with placing orders for materials and plant.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating variations to contracts with customers and suppliers.
  • Measuring and valuing work to support invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers.
  • Producing monthly VCRs and End Life Forecasts, while managing cash flows.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You possess strong communication skills and have experience working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and supply chains.
  • You hold relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable) and have experience in a similar role.
  • You have excellent organizational skills and can prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
  • You are flexible, able to work as part of a team, and can use your initiative.
  • You are proficient in a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke software.
