Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of nuclear infrastructure? We’re on the lookout for a Section Engineer to join our dynamic Sizewell C Project team based in beautiful Suffolk.

Location & Hours

Location: Sizewell C Project, Suffolk
Hours: Typically 45 hours per week (flexibility available—just let us know during our conversation).

Your Role

As a Section Engineer, you will be at the forefront of planning, engineering control, and supervising site operations within a highly regulated environment. You’ll act as the technical lead, supporting the Sub-Agent to ensure that all works are executed correctly, efficiently, and safely. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills while contributing to a major infrastructure project!

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Interpret and implement drawings, specifications, and design requirements on site.
  • Supervise site operations, coordinating engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
  • Assist with short-term planning, program updates, and progress tracking to keep the project on schedule.
  • Produce and review risk assessments and method statements, delivering safety briefings to foster a strong safety culture.
  • Maintain as-built records and quality documentation to meet stringent quality standards.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Hold a Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
  • Have relevant experience in civil engineering, including site engineering and setting out in infrastructure, highways, heavy civils, or structures.
  • Possess strong knowledge of construction methods, temporary works, and quality systems.
  • Are proficient in IT, particularly with MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Are working towards professional membership such as ICE or CIOB and hold a CSCS card.
