Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of water infrastructure? We’re on the lookout for a Section Engineer to join our dynamic team at Southern Water, covering both Clean and Waste Water projects in the beautiful locations of Falmer, Chatham, and Chichester.

Job Details

Location: Falmer, Chatham, Chichester
Hours: 40 hours per week - enjoy some flexibility with your start and end times!

Your Role

As a Section Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering the Early Contractor Involvement Contract and Main Works Contract across over 40 Non-Infrastructure schemes. You’ll support projects from the initial Needs Definition stage all the way to Commissioning and Handover, making a real difference in our Southern Water territory for AMP and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting position, you will:

• Ensure construction records are meticulously completed, including 'as-built' drawings and Inspection and Test Records.
• Provide engineering support for technical challenges and verify that setting out works meet allowable tolerances.
• Assist in preparing access and safety documentation during preconstruction and oversee site surveys.
• Prepare and communicate short-term programmes and schedules for your designated section of work.
• Manage and supervise site engineers while actively participating in Daily Task Briefings and Short Interval Control meetings.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

• Hold a relevant qualification such as a Management qualification, NVQ Level 3, HNC, or Degree.
• Possess CAT 4: Genny and CAT training, along with EUSR Water Hygiene (Dirty Water) certification.
• Are flexible and willing to work at various sites and offices across the Southern Water territory.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to your work.
• Have a Full driving licence.
