At ISP School, nestled in the beautiful Glengorse Estate in Battle, East Sussex, we are dedicated to providing specialist education for children aged 7-18 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), as well as communication and learning needs. About the Role

We are on the lookout for an inspirational qualified teacher who is passionate about working with vulnerable children. If you have experience across Key Stages 3 and 4 and are eager to teach subjects like Science, Maths, and more, we want to hear from you!

Your Responsibilities

  • Teach at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging lessons.
  • Plan, prepare, and present lessons tailored to the diverse needs of your students.
  • Utilize our positive behaviour policy to foster responsibility and accountability among students.
  • Motivate children to embrace learning and develop a lifelong love for education.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Successful teaching experience, particularly with SEN and a focus on nurturing children with SEMH and ASC needs.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum, especially in Science and/or Maths.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and a reflective approach to teaching.
  • A good understanding of therapeutic educational approaches.
  • Proven ability to deliver dynamic and engaging lessons that meet children’s needs.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, term-time only position with hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The contract is permanent, offering stability and the chance to grow with us.
