Your Role
As an Apprentice Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting our office team and social work professionals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive day-to-day administrative support, including:
- Maintaining databases
- Producing professionally written emails and letters
- Processing incoming and outgoing post
- Photocopying and message taking
- Processing invoices
- Supporting the social work team with data collection, recording, filing, and auditing
- Maintaining accurate databases/registers of families and children placed
- Building supportive relationships with foster parents as a key point of contact
- Liaising with Local Authority Social Workers and other professionals
- Monitoring office Health and Safety records
- Taking minutes of monthly team meetings and distributing them
- Creating content for our online information platform and newsletters
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Basic administration skills
- GCSE/equivalent in Maths and English (A Level 2 Functional Skills qualification can be completed alongside your apprenticeship)
- Ability to manage your own workload and work independently
- Excellent customer service skills
- Understanding of IT and electronic communications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude
Working Conditions
This is a full-time apprenticeship position, requiring 35 hours per week. You will also have dedicated time during the week to attend your Business Administration Level 3 course, either in college or online.
