About Us
Founded in 1987 by a group of devoted foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK’s first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have built a strong foundation of support for looked-after children, ensuring they receive the specialized care they need. Our Integrated Service Programme focuses on a therapeutic approach to fostering, bringing together a network of professionals—including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists—to support our foster parents and the children in their care.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, allowing for meaningful supervision.
- Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience in children and families social work.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
- A full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car.
