About Us

Founded in 1987 by a dedicated group of foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have built a strong foundation of support for looked-after children, ensuring they receive the specialized care they need. Our Integrated Services Programme focuses on a therapeutic approach to fostering, surrounding children and foster parents with a network of professionals, including social workers, teachers, and therapists.

Your Role

As a Part-Time Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. This position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of professionals dedicated to the well-being of children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to foster parents, maintaining a realistic caseload for effective supervision.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, enabling foster parents to enhance their practice and comply with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.

Requirements

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Social Work England-recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • A desire to work within a therapeutic model of childcare.
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
  • A full driving licence and unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This part-time position is based in Chesham, covering areas including Aylesbury, Bracknell, Reading, and Woking. You will work 28 hours per week, spread over 4 days.
