Salary

Unqualified: £27,866.34 basic salary, with potential earnings of up to £33,447.67 including sleep-in shifts

Qualified: £29,181.57 basic salary, with potential earnings of up to £34,762.90 including sleep-in shifts

Purpose of the Role

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with challenging behavior. This position requires:

This is a permanent role with fantastic career prospects and full training within a growing organization. You will work an average of 38 hours per week on a two-days-on / four-days-off shift pattern, including two sleep-ins. Plus, enjoy generous allowances for bank holidays and overtime, along with a performance-related bonus!

Essential Skills

• Hold a full UK manual driving licence
• Work independently and accurately while maintaining clear, organized records
• Strong interpersonal skills with a positive approach to teamwork
• Complete daily records in accordance with statutory and policy standards
• Empathetic, patient, and supportive nature
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people

Desirable Skills

• Experience working with young people
• A Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People or willingness to work towards one (fully funded by the employer)
