Working Hours

Typically 45 hours per week with some flexibility available. Just let us know your preferences when we chat!

Your Role

As a Section Engineer, you will be at the forefront of planning, engineering control, and supervising site operations within a highly regulated environment. You’ll serve as the technical lead on-site, collaborating closely with the Sub-Agent to ensure that all works are executed correctly, efficiently, and safely. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills while contributing to a major infrastructure project!

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Interpret and implement drawings, specifications, and design requirements on-site.
  • Supervise site operations, coordinating engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe and efficient delivery of works.
  • Assist with short-term planning, programme updates, and progress tracking to keep the project on schedule.
  • Produce and review risk assessments and method statements, delivering safety briefings to foster a strong safety culture.
  • Maintain as-built records and quality documentation to meet stringent quality standards.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You hold a Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
  • You have relevant experience in civil engineering, including site engineering and setting out in infrastructure, highways, heavy civils, or structures.
  • You possess strong knowledge of construction methods, temporary works, and quality systems.
  • You have strong IT skills and are confident using MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • You are working towards professional membership such as ICE or CIOB, and hold a CSCS card.
