Location & Working Conditions

Location: London, Birmingham, or Manchester - with remote working options available and occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - we offer flexibility on hours, just let us know your preferences when we chat!

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our Structures Team, delivering technical excellence across various contracts, including:

  • National Highways Major Projects
  • National Highways SDF
  • TfL
  • Northamptonshire
  • South Wales Trunk Road Agency Contract (SWTRA)

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Leading and managing the delivery of technical outputs as the Lead Designer on team projects
  • Contributing to technical excellence and innovation in the inspection, assessment, and design of highway structures
  • Conducting scheme investigations, site and structure inspections, data collection and analysis, feasibility studies, and both preliminary and detailed design
  • Preparing tender documents and overseeing construction inspections and supervision
  • Implementing improvements to SHEQ across all project aspects

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and are approaching or have achieved Chartered/Incorporated status with a professional institution
  • You have demonstrable experience in the inspection, assessment, and design of highway structures to UK standards
  • You are comfortable with relevant design software and familiar with Eurocodes, as well as the main management systems and processes used in similar businesses
