Work Hours

Your Role

As a Senior Highways and Drainage Engineer, you will be part of a leading team in temporary works design and construction-related technical services. With access to Kier’s impressive £11bn+ project pipeline, you’ll work on a diverse range of high-profile projects from concept to delivery.

  • Practically-minded, with a solid foundation in highways and drainage engineering principles?
  • An Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status?

Your Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of a wide range of construction engineering services, including:

  • Design and checking of highways and drainage temporary works
  • Reviewing permanent designs for compliance and buildability
  • Supporting tenders and preconstruction planning
  • Providing technical support during construction and post-construction phases

Main Responsibilities

  • Produce, check, and review design outputs such as calculations, sketches, drawings, and reports, ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures.
  • Act as Project Lead for multiple projects, managing scope, budget, and relationships from bid to delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of yourself and the team, enhancing processes and systems to meet current and future challenges.
