Join Our Team as a Business Analyst!

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the European Supply Chain & Merchandising Technology Team at Sysco Europe? We are on the lookout for a passionate Business Analyst to join our dynamic European Outbound Technology functional area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a fixed-term (12 months), full-time basis, reporting directly to the Functional Lead.

Important Note: This role involves extensive travel across Great Britain, including overnight stays during the week. Therefore, a valid GB driving license and your own transport are essential.

Your Role

As a Business Analyst, you will be the vital link between our business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the successful delivery of IT solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering, documenting, and interpreting business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Documenting test scenarios, scripts, and user outcomes.
  • Acting as a translator between the business and IT, facilitating effective communication.
  • Planning and managing small-scale changes as needed.
  • Providing consistent support throughout the lifecycle of small to medium changes.
  • Collaborating with other Business Analysts to prioritize and share best practices.
  • Staying updated on business change opportunities to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Strong relationship-building skills to engage positively with stakeholders.
  • Experience in transport is desirable, along with the ability to ask insightful questions to extract necessary details.
  • A keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • An analytical and inquisitive mindset, capable of presenting strategic options to solve problems.
  • The ability to identify risks and issues early, suggesting effective mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in requirements gathering through direct interaction with business users or in workshop settings.
  • Familiarity with prioritization techniques, such as MOSCOW.

Working Conditions

This role will primarily reside within the Supply Chain & Merchandising Technology function, but you will spend a significant amount of time collaborating with business stakeholders across Europe. We offer a flexible hybrid working model, allowing you to work 1-2 days per week from your local site for team collaboration and meetings. You must be within a commutable distance.
