About the Role
As the Head's Personal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the Head's daily activities. Your proactive support will help the Head navigate a busy and ever-changing schedule, coordinating diaries, correspondence, meetings, and events.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple email inboxes and prioritizing communications.
- Maintaining the Single Central Register and ensuring compliance with safeguarding requirements.
- Providing confidential HR administrative support, including recruitment and personnel records.
To excel in this role, you will need to develop a deep understanding of the Head's priorities and working style, ensuring they are always prepared and in the right place at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive executive support, including diary management and meeting coordination.
- Act as the first point of contact for the Head, building positive relationships with parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and coordinate documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Organize school events led by the Head, such as Speech Night and Open Mornings.
- Maintain the school's Single Central Register (SCR) for safeguarding compliance.
- Support recruitment and HR administration, including onboarding and compliance reporting.
- Ensure all administrative processes are efficient and adhere to GDPR and school policies.
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an Executive Assistant, PA, or senior administrative role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of admissions and HR administration processes.
- Familiarity with school management systems like iSAMS or SIMS.
